Cancellation of Flight Bookings

Most of the flight bookings done through My Trips Time Inc. can be cancelled. However, whether passenger's are going to get refund or not will are subject to the airline’s rules and restrictions. Thus, it is advisable to the passenger to first read the cancellation policy of the airlines with which they are making flight reservations.

The 24-hour flight cancellation rule

Any flight cancellation within the first 24 hours of booking with any airline will be free of cost, and a refund will be available in the original form of payment without any deductions.

However, users need to make sure that there are at least 7 days remaining for the flight departure.

Cancellation Fee

Airlines may charge an applicable fee to initiate cancellation after the 24 hours of booking. Through the airlines policies, it will be decided that whether or not is there any applicable fee on cancellation. While majority of the airlines charges for flight cancellation, a few have waived their cancellation.

As per the flight cancellation policies of majority of the airlines, cancellation eligibility, applicable fee and other things are subject to fare type and time prior to the flight departure.

Cancellation Policies for a Round Trip

Round trip can be either a single fare or might be consisting of 2 one way fare. While with a single fare, the cancellation guidelines will be applicable on the whole booking and users cannot request to cancel only a single segment of the flight booking.

In case users have booked 2 one way fare, then each fare will be having its own rules and restrictions. Here you can have flexibility to cancel any single segment only.

In case any passenger misses a departure flight of a single fare round trip, the airlines reserves the right to cancel all the remaining flights in the itinerary.

Cancellation of a Low-Cost Airlines

Many low-cost carrier like to manage cancellation or flight changes by themselves only. Thus, to cancel any low-cost carrier booking, it is advised to connect with the airlines only.

Refund on Flight Booking

  • For any booking, free cancellation along with full refund in the original form is available if the same has been requested within 24 hours of booking.
  • After 24 hours, it is up-to the airline’s rules and restrictions that whether users are receiving refund or not.
  • In case there is a non-refundable ticket, then on cancellation, users will be receiving travel credits (miles).
  • Basic economy ticket, save fare ticket are generally non-refundable with most of the airlines and passengers are not entitled to a refund unless the airline promises to provide a refund or the airlines cancel the flight.
  • Refund is available for the passengers in case of involuntary cancellation or flight delay (more than 2 hours at-least). For further information, users need to refer to airline’s policies with which they have made booking.

Refund on Special/Extenuating Circumstances

Even the non-refundable tickets are permitted for a refund under extraordinary circumstances. These include:

  • Jury Duty
  • Military Orders
  • Serious Illness or Bereavement

Under these circumstances, passengers need to fill out a separate form and submit it to either us or the airline authorities. Also, the customer needs to attach the supporting documents to get the entitlement for the refund.

General Cancellation Guidelines for Hotel Booking and Vacation Package

  • Cancellation of any hotel booking or vacation package will incur any additional charges amount of which can be a significant portion of the amount users have paid for booking.
  • For refund, it depends on the flight itineraries i.e. whether users are having a refundable or a non-refundable fare type.
  • For the non-refundable fare, passenger won’t be getting their money back on any cancellation but can be entitled for airline credit as per the airline policy applicable. Additional charge on processing the cancellation will be applicable.
  • Even for the refundable fare, amount of money users are going to receive as refund will depend on how much time is there for the flight departure.
  • To cancel hotel booking or vacation packages, either access the booking online otherwise, simply connect with us through a phone call. While requesting any kind of changes or modification, passengers need to keep their flight details (booking reference number or passenger’s name).
Basic Guidelines Related to Refund
  • Any flight booking that has been cancelled within 24 hours of booking will lead to full refund for the fare price. It usually takes within 7-8 days for the refund amount reflect in passenger’s account.
  • Cancellation of any flight ticket booking after the 24 hours of booking will be subject to rules and restriction of the travel service provider. So does the cancellation fee (if there is any).
  • For involuntary cancellation of the flight booking by the airlines, a refund will rely on the airline's policies only.
  • For non-refundable tickets, passengers will receive travel credits on cancellation.
  • Any service fee charged by the My Trips Time Inc. will not be refunded.
  • Refund on the hotel booking or the vacation package will be subject on the type of booking or package they have purchased through us.
  • In case of no-show with either flight booking, hotel booking or any service that you have booked with us, there will not be any refund. Also, under this situation, additional charges will be applicable.
  • While making any kind of cancellation or requesting refund, it is advisable to first refer to the terms and conditions mentioned in the confirmation mail or the official sources of the travel service provider. Only after which, passenger can proceed for cancellation or refund.
